About Tiffany Nelson
Sound Bath & Yin Yoga Practitioner
Tiffany Nelson
My work is rooted in a simple observation: when we slow down, we begin to notice things we often miss.
In practices like yin yoga and sound, the body may appear still from the outside. But inside, there is a lot happening. Breath shifts. Muscles soften. The nervous system begins to settle.
Over time, I've come to see these practices as a way of learning to listen. When we give the body time and space, it often knows how to move toward balance on its own.
Through yin yoga and sound experiences, I guide spaces where people can slow down, pay attention to what they feel, and reconnect with the natural rhythm of their bodies.
My Path to This Work
My approach to teaching has grown from years of personal practice, study, and a deep curiosity about how the body restores balance when given the right conditions. Yin yoga first showed me the value of patience — how time, gravity, and stillness allow the body to soften and reorganize without force. Sound added another dimension, revealing how vibration can gently guide the nervous system toward rest and awareness.
Together, these practices offer a quiet but powerful reminder: the body does not always need more effort. Sometimes it simply needs space.
My work is further informed by somatic trauma research — including the foundational study of how the body holds and releases stress — as well as positive psychology and years of holding space in recovery settings. I hold 40 CEUs in trauma-informed yoga guidance, certification in sound bath meditation, and training in yin yoga. I am currently completing a 100-hour somatic healing through yoga certification, and am writing my first book, Breaking Boundaries: A Journal for Self-Discovery and Authentic Living.
I bring all of this — the study, the practice, and my own ongoing journey of self-inquiry — into every session I hold.
